Are you a polished communicator with the ability to write compelling stories? BM Prime Capital invites you to apply for this rewarding internship opportunity! As a Communications Intern, you will be responsible for producing engaging and informative content on topics related to technology and investment, as well as facilitating external and internal communication at the firm and our portfolio companies. Our firm has business teams that build great companies and we also invest in elite startups in French Speaking African Countries. In this role you’ll have an opportunity to contribute to our dynamic media platforms, covering a wide range of sources and perspectives.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Communications Intern who’s passionate about startups, storytelling, and strategic communication (including public relations). This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business communications—working closely with our investment and design teams to craft content, support brand initiatives, and elevate the voices of our founders. The internship is a part-time experience (approximately 20 hours per week) where you'll gain valuable experience while becoming familiar with our firm. Interns who excel during the internship will earn a full time job offer.
What You’ll Do

Assist in drafting and editing internal and external communications, including newsletters, blog posts, founder spotlights, and portfolio updates

Help manage our social media presence across LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and other platforms

Support content development for events, podcasts, or webinars

Conduct research on industry trends, portfolio companies, and media opportunities

Track press coverage, engagement metrics, and develop reports on communications performance

Collaborate with portfolio companies on marketing and PR efforts, as needed

Requirements

Must be a recent graduate or current student pursuing a degree program in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related field

Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with great attention to detail

Familiarity with writing articles and using social media management tools

Interest in startups, venture capital, and emerging technologies

Self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently

Bonus: Experience with Canva, Figma, or Mailchimp, or other related tools
